This Symposium is hosting both full oral presentations and speed talks.

The full oral presentations are 15 minutes in duration and this will be strictly enforced. Presentations should be at most 12 minutes in length, leaving the remaining time for questions and the transition to the next speaker.

The speed talks are 5 minutes in duration and this will also be strictly enforced. Speed talks should be at most 4 minutes in length, leaving the remaining time for questions.

In the interest of promoting science-based management, this Symposium is taking several steps to extract and highlight the proposed management actions from the body of presented work, to make these recommendations/actions/issues readily available for policymakers. We therefore request all presenters (whether giving a full oral presentation OR speed talk) to please open their presentations with a slide sharing the main take-home message from their presentation and how the information can be used towards management.

Besides this unconventional approach, the presentations can follow any format the presenters see fit. Presentations should be compiled using PowerPoint using the 16:9 aspect ratio, and can either be presented in PowerPoint or as a PDF.

We strongly encourage speakers to upload their presentation at least 24 hours PRIOR to their scheduled presentation time AND to bring a backup copy of your presentation to your session on a flash stick/drive. All presentations can be uploaded in this Google Drive folder. Once files are uploaded, they cannot be edited. If you need to replace the file, another can be uploaded; however, the most recently uploaded file will be used. Please try to upload only once though.

Please label your presentation file as follows: Day_HHMM_Lastname; e.g. for a presentation Tuesday 16 September at 10:20 am by Joe Soap, your file name should be TUES_1020_Soap).
